FREE of charge "Good Will" Service at our store includes:

1. Custom Setup

All guitar players wish to own a guitar which would have a smooth and soft action (distance between strings and frets) so they can truly enjoy playing it. We make that wish come true by providing our Free Custom Setup on every instrument before it is placed on display.

Consider the peace of mind knowing that we have completed the following improvements on your instrument purchased at our store. Notice the SAVINGS compared to our regular prices for services:

  • Straightening of the neck: lowers the action or eliminates the fret buzz                                            ($14 to 70)

  • Re-cutting the nut grooves: lowers the action at the most important spot - the first fret                    ($30)

  • Adjustment of the height of the bridge: lowers the action at the higher half of the neck                   ($30)

  • Adjustment of the vibrato system for an optimal operation and to stay in tune                                ($20 to 40)

  • Testing and servicing of the electronics: assures a trouble free functioning of guitar                       ($10 to ?)

  • Filing off sharp edges of the frets: smooth feel and a pleasure to play your instrument                    ($30 to 60)

  • Fret job: Leveling, re-crowning and polishing the fret surface. This enables us to adjust a low action   ($70 to 130)

2. Truss Rod Adjustment, also free of charge to the original purchaser, for as long as you keep an instrument* which was purchased from us. Otherwise we charge $14.00 every time the truss rod needs to be readjusted, which is usually twice a year as the Anchorage humidity changes very noticeably by the season.

Why do we perform this adjustment?

    Every guitar or bass neck is affected by changes of humidity. This causes the neck to bend and the instrument stops functioning properly.

A bent neck results in one of the two conditions:

  1. The instrument is hard to play: The action is too high
  2. A fret buzz or dead frets occur on the first half of the neck: Action is too low

Remedy: Changing a torque of the truss rod straightens the neck to its original condition.
